Terms & Conditions For Paws at Home – Multi-Day & Overnight House Sitting

Booking & Payment

A booking is only confirmed once it has been been accepted by Paws & Whiskers by Luke.
Full payment must be made before the booking begins unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Multi-day and overnight bookings should be made as far in advance as possible to ensure availability.

The Client must provide at least 6 days' notice for any cancellation.
Cancellations made with less than 6 days' notice may incur a fee of 50% of the total booking cost.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the booking start date will be charged 100% of the total booking cost, as the dates have been reserved exclusively for your booking.

Requests to amend the dates or duration of a booking are subject to availability.
Additional days or services requested during the booking will be charged at the applicable rate.

The Client must provide enough food, treats, medication (if required), bedding, leads, harnesses, litter, toys and any other essentials for the entire booking.
The Client must provide accurate information about each pet's routine, medical conditions, behaviour, dietary requirements and emergency contacts.
Any medication instructions must be provided clearly before the booking starts.
Paws & Whiskers by Luke reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services if a pet displays aggressive or dangerous behaviour that was not disclosed before the booking.

If your pet becomes ill or is injured during the booking, every reasonable effort will be made to contact you or your emergency contact.
If neither can be reached, you authorise Paws & Whiskers by Luke to seek veterinary treatment in your pet's best interests.
All veterinary fees and associated costs remain the responsibility of the Client.

The Client must ensure the property is safe, secure and suitable for house sitting.
Working keys, alarm codes (where applicable) and any necessary access instructions must be provided before the booking begins.
Keys and any personal information will be kept secure and treated confidentially.

House sitting is provided primarily for the care and welfare of your pet(s).
Basic household tasks, such as bringing in post, opening and closing curtains, watering indoor plants and putting bins out, can be included if agreed in advance.
Unless agreed otherwise, the sitter may leave the property for reasonable periods to carry out other pre-arranged pet care visits, appointments or personal commitments.

Paws & Whiskers by Luke is fully insured.
Whilst every reasonable care will be taken, Paws & Whiskers by Luke cannot accept responsibility for illness, injury, escape or death resulting from pre-existing medical conditions, undisclosed behavioural issues or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

If unforeseen circumstances occur and Paws & Whiskers by Luke is unable to attend your booking due to illness, injury, family emergency, severe weather, vehicle breakdown or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control, you will be notified immediately.
Every reasonable effort will be made to arrange suitable alternative cover where possible. If this is not possible, any payment for the affected period will be refunded.

To help us provide the best possible care, we recommend that Clients:

Leave enough food, medication and supplies for the entire booking, plus an extra day's supply where possible.
Leave your pet's favourite toys, bedding or comfort items to help them feel settled.
Provide up-to-date contact details for yourself and an emergency contact.
Inform us of any changes to your pet's health or behaviour before the booking begins.
Let a trusted neighbour or family member know that your home is being cared for while you are away.

By making a booking, the Client confirms they have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
